Zinc Restaurant provides a wonderful venue for stylish and romantic wedding receptions in the heart of Port Douglas, close to much of the accommodation in town, famous Four Mile Beach and St Mary's church. Visit our location page for more information.

Experienced In-House Reception Coordinator

Our in-house wedding coordinator, Danielle, has been involved in the wedding industry in Port Douglas for more than15 years as the owner/operator of Port Douglas Weddings (which she sold earlier this year to focus on our receptions).

Quite simply, Danielle knows weddings and understands your needs!

Dedicated Reception Areas

Unlike most restaurants, Zinc has dedicated areas for you and your friends and relatives, so that your reception can be held without interruption from other restaurant patrons.  

Zinc restaurant has two areas available depending on the size of your group: 

• A function room - suitable for up to 45 guests depending on table configurations.  This room is air-conditioned.
• An outdoor area, with a retractable awning, just outside the function room - suitable for up to 45 guests.

Wedding receptions with more than 45 guests can utilise both the inside and outside areas.

Live Web Camera - Free

We also now offer our web camera at no extra cost when you hold your reception at Zinc.

Simply let Danielle know that you would like this inclusion and we will have the camera running during your reception so that friends and relatives not able to be in Port Douglas can view your reception via the internet.

With apologies for taking so long to email you, I'm writing thank you cards but they will be another few weeks away but I wanted to email you to say a very big thank you for all your help in making our reception so incredibly wonderful. The service was great, all the waiting staff were very attentive and looked after everybody extremely well. We got so many comments on the food, it was amazing and all courses were
exceptional, I knew they would be after I came up in march and sampled the menu! I think you will have a few return visitors! The table settings looked lovely also. Afterwards it was only a short stroll home to the Cayman Villas.

As Father of the Bride I would like to thank you and your team for such a wonderful wedding reception for Bec & Corey. Our guests, all from Melbourne & Adelaide were most impressed with the friendliness of the staff the set up of the reception and the the food. Accolades to the chef.

Dear Danielle,

Ellen and I would like to express our sincerest gratitude for the wonderful job you, Angelo, and the team at Zinc Restaurant achieved in hosting our wedding reception on July 7.

Over the months preceding the wedding our dealings with you were most professional, which surely helped the event run as smoothly as it did. The night itself was absolutely perfect. We cannot be more effusive in our praise for the wait and kitchen staff. The waitresses were prompt, friendly and very attentive to our guests needs. The food too was superb, all our guests commenting on how much better it was than the standard wedding reception fare.

You did a fantastic job setting the tables and room up in the just the way we envisioned, which helped create a magical ambience. A special thank-you too for arranging the webcam to be set-up. It proved a hit with everyone, particularly the many friends & family in Australia and overseas who couldn’t be there. It helped them ‘feel a part of it’. Hi Danielle

So sorry that I have taken so long to contact you. Been busy organising our Post Wedding Party (this Saturday) for all those family & friends that couldn't make it to P.D.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for all your help and assistance in organising my wedding. The restaurant looked fabulous, the food was fantastic and the service was exceptional. I wish that I could do it all again.
