Wedding Receptions at Zinc Port Douglas

Few destinations are more romantic or popular for weddings than Tropical Port Douglas, set amongst the magnificent surroundings of the Great Barrier Reef and the World Heritage Daintree Rainforest in Far North Queesland.

While Port Douglas offers the perfect romantic location for your special day, Zinc offers an affordable, stylish reception venue for you and your guests to celebrate with you.

Unlike most restaurant venues, Zinc has dedicated areas for receptions so that yours can be enjoyed without interruption from other restaurant patrons.

Because of Zinc's dedicated wedding reception areas, you will not have to pay a large "sole-use" fee. There is a minimum spend charge but you will find that this is well below typical sole use fees and unless you have a very small reception, you will exceed the minimum spend anyway.

Since opening in December 2004, Zinc has become one of the leading wedding venues in Port Douglas and has been the venue of choice for hundreds of couples since opening.

Convenient Location

Private Reception Areas

Zinc's reception areas include a private room available for up to 45 guests as well as a beautiful outdoor terrace adjoining this room, bringing the overall capacity to 100. The indoor room is fully air-conditioned and has plantation doors that can be opened on to the terrace. The indoor function room also has a dance floor.

Food, Beverage and Service

At Zinc, we are committed to providing you and your guests with outstanding food, an amazing selection of cocktails, beverages and wines, and attentive, professional service from our experienced staff.

Lounge Bar

Zinc has a lounge area that remains open until late, perfect for that drink after your reception, or at any other time during your visit to Port Douglas.

A snack menu is also available until late.

Free Live Web Camera

We offer our high-quality web camera at no extra cost when you hold your reception at Zinc. This means that friends and relatives not able to be in Port Douglas can view your reception via the internet....live.

Simply let Danielle know that you would like this inclusion and we will have the camera running during your reception.

Our in-house wedding specialist, Danielle, will work closely with you to assist with every detail including food & wine selections, theming, music, chair covers & bows, table decorations & candles, while our dedicated team in the kitchen and on the floor work hard to ensure that the quality of food & wine and the service you receive on the day is second to none.

Danielle, has been involved in the wedding industry in Port Douglas for more than 20 years as the owner/operator of Port Douglas Weddings (which she sold to focus on our receptions for the past 8 years).

Quite simply, Danielle knows weddings and understands your needs and is committed to making your reception at Zinc stress-free, truly special and memorable.

Zinc was amazing! We held our reception there for 50 friends and family and we could not have asked for a more amazing venue!

The service and staff were wonderful - your glass was always topped up (sometimes without even realizing it had been!!), the food was out of this world, and the venue is gorgeous for a wedding! The decoration of the tables, bows on chairs and candles everywhere made the room glow and the overall atmosphere certainly exceeded all our expectations!

It is such a warm environment and the ability to split our guests tables between inside and outside was great! We set up the tables so that the older guests would be inside (in case the night cooled off - although not that this ever happens in Pt Douglas!) and the younger guests could then be outside under the stars!

We cannot thank Danielle, Marco and all the team at Zinc enough for sharing our special day and for making it such an unforgettable experience!
